Improving trunk rotation.

چکیده
Figure 1 Kneeling trunk rotation (a) start position (b) final position. Sports such as tennis, golf, baseball, and hockey each involve a tremendous amount of trunk rotation. It is not just striking sports, but also throwing, kicking, running, swimming, skiing, etcwhichall require yourbody to rotate throughyour core. In order to transmit forces from your bigger, stronger leg muscles to your arms, trunk rotation is needed. Back injuries, oblique abdominal strains, rotator cuff problems, and even reduced performance can directly result from diminished mobility in trunk rotation. This selfcare article shows a very simple trunk rotation exercise that can be performed as a warm-up or part of a daily stretching routine. Another benefit of trunk rotation training is that it can help improve to posture. A slouched posture with rounded shoulders will quickly straighten up with these simple stretches.

Trunk Rotation Training as a tool in improving weight transmission through the paretic lower limb in hemiplegiay
Aim: To determine the effectiveness of training trunk rotation as a tool in improving weight transmission through the paretic lower limb in subjects with hemiplegia. Methods: Thirty stroke subjects were randomly assigned into control group (n=15) and experimental group (n=15). Interventions: Subjects in the control group received conventional set of exercises alone and the experimental group re...
متن کاملThe Association between the trunk and hip kinematic and knee abduction angle among preadolescent female soccer players during single-leg landing
Objectives: Children aged 10 to 12 years often show dangerous maneuvers during landing, which include increased knee valgus, placing them at higher risk of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries. The study aimed to investigate the relation of the trunk and hip kinematics with the peak knee abduction angle during single-leg landing among preadolescent female soccer players. Methods: Thirty-s...
متن کاملTrunk Kinematic Analysis during Gait in Cerebral Palsy Children with Crouch Gait Pattern
Background: Deficits in upper body movement have received little attention during gait in cerebral palsy (CP) children with crouch gait pattern (CGP).Objective: Purpose of this research is to describe the correlation of trunk movement with the excessive knee flexion and ankle kinematic in CP children with CGP.Methods: Gait analysis data from 57 limbs of diplegic CP children with CGP and 26 limb...
متن کاملAn isokinetic profile of trunk rotation strength in elite tennis players.
PURPOSE The changes in stroke production in the modern game of tennis have increased the demands on trunk rotation in elite tennis players. Unlike the shoulder, where unilateral strength adaptations have been identified, no study to date has objectively quantified side to side rotational trunk strength in elite tennis players. METHODS One hundred nine elite tennis players were tested using a ...
متن کاملRelationship between spinal range of motion and trunk muscle activity during trunk rotation
[Purpose] The aim of this study was to clarify the relationship between spinal range of motion and trunk muscle activity during trunk rotation using a three-dimensional motion analysis system and surface electromyography. [Subjects and Methods] The subjects comprised 11 healthy men. A three-dimensional motion analysis system measured the trunk rotational angle of 4 segments of the thoracic vert...
